"Featured Question Widget" positioning

Question

I would like to position the widget in the "Main area -Top" position on the following page :

Questions --> Recent

In the administration centre, layout, widget option, I've set :
position : "Main area -Top"
Show widget in this position on the following pages : "Recent questions and answers"

but the widget does not display ...

why ?

No problem! I have cross check everything and assure you that it is working fine and adding widget on all registered areas and pages.

Ok, I've tried now on a clean 1.6.2 instance, and in the path : "/questions":

I still do not see it (same behaviour)

I see it only if I navigate to the root path "/".

Maybe I've not understood the q2a layout positioning of the widgets : I thought that the "Recent questions and answers" position was corresponding to this path,
isn't it ?

If it isn't, there is not an option to position it there (only there) (the "Question lists" position displays the widget also on other lists...)

The page you are looking is Question List and not Recent Questions and Answers. Questions List will give you widget on https://www.sitename.com/questions while Recent Questions and answer will give you on https://www.sitename.com/

I had tried it before but (looking at your first picture) I wanted to exclude the widget from "Hot", "Most Votes", "Most Answers" and "Most views", and displaying it only on "Recent".
It looks like there is not such an option !
However it's not an issue, the widget is working and I'll place it differently, probably on Question Lists as you wrote.

Actually the plugin support all default Q2A registered template and places. So if you want on more specific page than you may try to use qa_request() in plugin layer or theme file.
