There is a video for installation and setup guide that shows exact and all steps how to install the theme. Just wonder how you couldn't find that.
That is all you need to do for installation. Apart from that like setting up options and all you need to watch every video to understand the theme settings. All video describe each sections of the theme. You need to go through each video. We have invest lot of time to make these video which helps our customers visually.
If you still have any problem which is not covered in video or you cannot understand in the video than please specify your issue here. Without that we also won't be able to help you.
The reason I ask is that I dont know on what platform to install it. Wordpress or do I have to go to my FTP to upload the theme and plugin. I love the theme that why I bought it. I really fit what I want to do with it. You put me in the right direction, I will get it going.

You need to install all files into Question2Answer site not into WordPress.
qa-plugin/* content will go into your-qa-site/qa-plugin/* directory and qa-theme content will go to your-qa-side/qa-theme/* directory.

BTW the MaxControl theme doesn't support SSO or WordPress integration with Q2A, We have already mentioned in Specification section on the product page.
